You seem to have more problems than WiFi. Do a full virus scan, spyware scan & malware scan. Next, run a registry cleaner. Have you tried to restore the system to a date when you know it worked?

My hp laptop is stuck on flight mode i have tried all the solutions that i can find on u tube and computer searches but i still can't get back on to wi fi, im using windows 10

w10, ok
what PC?, they have? model names, how old.'? 1 year , 15years?
did you do buy it with w10 on board new, or do the upgrade wrong.

what is the HP model, number they made these from 1984 to now.
vast laptops made, 1000s. in fact.
1: the HP driver for WIFI chip is missing,
2: upgrading to w10 and it's not possible due to no w10 driver made.
3: virus infection. (OpSys corruption,etc)
4: bad wifi card (or the chip on it )

my laptop has service tag, so does yours.
as seen here.
see this red arrow, that be its real name. in full.
on bottom of this LT our in the battery compartment (battery out)

no tech can help much lacking what you own.
does the wifi chip show up in Device manager? window?
on my book there are 2 ways to enter or exit wifi airplane mode.
1: click the wifi icon in the system try
2: much the wifi on off on my HP top row, wifi key.
the first one above takes only the HP driver for wifi working
the second one take 2 HP drivers, the above ok, and the HP
command , keyboard, (upper) driver working, on many LT
if you upgrade to w10 using Microsofts, way, (wrong) the
#1 fails or #2 or both , you end up with bad drivers, when you
trust MS to that job.
So how'd w10 get on your unstated PC?

1. If you see a WiFi icon/indicator on the right-bottom of the screen, click it to connect to your/any WiFi network.

2. Check the WiFi driver in the Control Panel.
- Click Start, Control Panel, System
- Click Device Manager
- Is there any WiFi in the Network Adapters group?
- Is there any item with Yellow Exclamation Mark?

3. Check the WiFi settings

- Click Change Adapter Settings
- Is there any WiFi item in this page?

Windows 8 keeps losing WiFi config

You can test it with an external wifi adapter. I use Edimax nano USB WiFi adapter (it cost around $15) and it has its own drivers and applications. Please don't forget to disable your internal wifi adapter after installing the external wifi adapter.

I'm using fujitsu lifebook s2020 and i have a problem with the wifi is kind of disappeared or can i get it back? thank you

Good Day

The first thing you should check is that you WiFi is on. What I mean with that is that laptops usually have a button to switch on or off WiFi to generally save battery life. If you are sure that WiFi is on (usually the WiFi button's light is on) than check if ou can see a netwok adapter.

If you dont see it, there can be two reasons. 1. Another program which got installed on the laptop has controll over the WiFi and the WiFi will not be controlled my your Operating system. 2. Check the properties of your network place. It might contain the WiFi adapter disabled. Ceck under the properties and ut the tick poxes on "Show if adapter is connected" and "Show if there is a problem".

Last resort is to check under you Device manager (Right click My computer, Manage, Device Manager) and make sure the WiFi adapter's drivers are proberly installed.

Hope this helps

I am unable to turn my wifi on using FN+F2 is there another way to enable it ?

Depending on your model of laptop, there are several areas where you can enable and disable your wifi transmitter other than FN + F2.

1. A physical switch on the side/front on your machine

2. A setting in BIOS

3. A software switch (a program that came preinstalled on your computer)

4. Within "Device Manager"

I hope this provides some insight.

Best regards.

WiFi Connectivity Problems

Hi, On several instances of this type problem, I normally suggest to check the particular WiFi Networking card that is used by the Toshiba laptop. This could be done by going to the Device Manager under Networking adapters. Thereafter go to the website of the chipset/wifi manufacturer and check if they have a connection utility. Sometime Windows WiFi Configuration utility fails to detect the existing network. You may have to use the config utility of the manufacturer. A method of verifying if your WiFi is working and if it can detect the network around it is by downloading, installing and running NetStumbler. Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.
