SOURCE: washer will not agitate

A wears out clutch might prevent the washer from agitating well or at all. If the clutch is worn, you need to replace it. Good luck!

SOURCE: Admiral Top load washer won't agitate and squeals

Sounds like the gearbox, unfortunatly this is sealed and is cheaper to replace the machine, presume the machine is quite old.

SOURCE: Kenmore 80 Series Top Load Washer not agitating

Check out this you tube. Had the same problem today. Tipped washer on its side and replaced coupler between motor and gearbox. Parts are about $15
This is a good diagnosis video.

SOURCE: GE washer won't agitate

I had this same problem with our GE top load washer.  I just needed to pull harder.  (Note: The agitator is held in place by about a dozen L-shaped clips in a ring around the agitator's base that will release more as you pull harder on the agitator.)  Everything from the base below the large fins on up comes out together.  Grab the shaft above the fins and pull slowly and hard. I had to take the entire tub out, lay it on the porch, put my feet inside of it, and pull the agitator assembly out.  I wasn't able to pull it out while it was still in the washer.  BE CAREFUL! DON'T **** IT OUT; that might injure your back; just pull out slowly and as hard as you can without hurting yourself.  I was able to get it out successfully, but I am currently stuck at removing the bell below the agitator.  Good luck!

I have a LG top load washer, model WT5001CW that makes a grinding sound during agitation cycle but not during spin. Drains like it's supposed to. Any ideas?

This sounds like you have a problem with the tub suspension rods (4 of them) if one is faulty, you will have to replace all four of them to cure the problem.
It could be that they just need to be realigned as the grinding sound is the inner tub contacting the outer tub housing.

I have an lg washer model # wt5001cw i have a code le overload protection how can i reset this code

The LE error or fault code indicates that the washer motor is either overheating or has lost connection to the motor control circuit board. Turn off the machine for 30 minutes to let the motor cool down. Then, restart the washer. If the code comes back immediately the motor is not likely to be at fault and so you should check the wiring from the motor to the motor control board. Also, check the wiring and condition of the rotor position sensor, also called a HALL sensor. If the code doesn't come back on immediately, but returns after the washer has run for a while, the motor stator may be defective.

I have a LG WT5001CW top load washer. Recently the agitator plate began to loosen and fall off during spin cycle. Now when spin cycle starts and the tub turns it squeaks and grinds then I get a UE alarm.

The agitator has a gear like attachment that meets the long shaft up the center of the tub. If the alignment is off and not exactly in place the agitator will move or the gear-like part will wear down, become rounded, or break. The agitator must fit perfectly and tight. A nut on top (under the cap) has to be turned down tight.

My two year old LG Top loader washer wt5001cw completed it cycle and shut off. The latch will not open now and it won't turn back on. HELP!

Use a putty knife to lift top. Insert between cabinet and top in front. There is one on the left and the right. Then the top should lift up and be able to at least get your clothes out.

Lg waveforce washer grinding sound

If it is just coins, I wouldn't bother. However, depending on the age and or unexpired warranty, I wouldn't jeopardise the warranty.
It could be the agitator's transmission, which if it is under warranty
should be fixed by the MFG. If out of warranty, unless you are a DIY, you need to call appliance service people. Ask the approximate price for repair. Depending on the age, it may be time to look for a lightly used replacement.

My LG WT5001CW top load washer will not drain. All diagnostics indicate a pump problem. I took out the pump and tested it and it works fine. What else could be the problem?

Shine a flashlight up the hose from pump to tub. See if you can see the light from inside the tub. Sometimes a sock or other small item can find it's way in there. Also make sure the impeller of the pump is straight and not cocked to the side, indicating a bent impeller shaft.

Limited agitation during wash cycle Load Sense OK

Possible that the program selected is an easy wash as this is meant for daily wash , less soiled clothes.
If however the same situation is present in all the cycles then the capacitor to the motor must be checked as it can reduce the speed of the motor.
Also check the belt , check for friction on the drum spindle and the motor.
