This is not correct. It is the switch not the motor. it is on the front panel where the knobs are located.

Yep, perfect diagnoses, usually called a blower resistor though.I've had to replace a few in my time. Fairly simple to replace. Anyway just click on the following website link for complete instructions and pictures on how to replace this. Let me know how it works out.

No when the blower only works on high, it indicates that the resistor between the controls(switch) and the blower motor is burnt out and needs to be replaced. Your controls are fine I believe, and the resistor is cheaper to replace by a long shot even if it would turn out not to be the problem which I am sure it is.

Otherwise, if you still feel the need to replace the control switch, the plastic panel directly around the controls pulls off (pry it with a screwdriver, it is held on with clips) and gives access to the screws holding the controls on though I think you will be wasting your time to replace this.

That link I posted before was not trying to replace the blower motor, but was trying to replace the blower resistor which can be seen in the bottom picture on that website link. I hope you understand, if you are still confused, please let me know and I will try and clarify it for you.

ok, in dodge cars it looks like a bunch of metal coils generally so maybe that is what the part they gave you looks like. I will see you tomorrow then.

The red clip should slide sideways to unlock it, then you should be able to get the resistor detached.
Sorry that I missed this question before

The blower motor is located under the passenger side of the dash. there should be power on the dark green wire at the blower motor. If there is no power check the 40 amp blower fuse and the blower relay. If there is power than ground the light green with white wire with the blower motor plugged in. If the blower does not come on than the blower is bad. If the blower comes on than you have a ground issue. The system is ground side controlled which means the switch provides ground. If the blower does not work on high I would suspect the ground wire is burnt on the backside of the switch since high speed bypasses the resistor.

Sounds like a bad blower motor resistor. That part is what changes the speed of the blower, and your original blower motor may not be bad if it was running on high only. It may have been the resistor.
