Question about Heating & Cooling
If I turn the breaker on & turn the thermostat off, the air handler still turns on & blows cool. Also if the breaker is on & the thermostat is on, and the system is running, while it's running you can hear a distinctive clicking sound like it wants to turn off or on. It's not the thermostat because I just changed that and I still hear the clicking. I opened up the handler and checked the box that the thermostat is hooked up to and I believe that is where the clicking is coming from. More specifically the relay or whatever it's called on top of the box that is connected to the thermostat. Can someone help me with this?
You have a bad fan relay. You need to get it changed. Is this fan board. If so the intire board has to be changed. Safe side get a service tech to check it out ask for free estimate up front. Russ
