I have a Nokia 6300, only 2 months old, which I inadvertantly (or, rather stupidly) dropped down the WC this morning. Removed the back & battery & left on warm radiator on top of towel to try & dry out. Seems dry, but no longer working at all.
Any ideas please ?

If the system is only a month old, and you have COMPLETE CARE accidental Damage coverage, then call tech support and get it fixed.
If you do not have Accidental Damage coverage, Dell Will most likely charge for the repairs.
If you have damaged the DC power connection on the motherboard, then unless you are well versed in circuit board soldering, you will be replacing a motherboard (About $100 on Ebay)
I think you need to take it to a Motorola service center to get it flashed. If its just 3 months old, should be taken care of for free under your phone's warranty.
However, please note that most of the cellphone companies DO NOT cover moisture damage or accidental damage under their warranty conditions. You might need to pay for the services, if your phone became faulty after getting wet, or being dropped, etc.
Hi, I m shahid working at Nokia Care, Bolangir, Orissa. In my opinion you must go to Nokia Care at Delhi. You will found the cabinate. But it is quite expensive. But try once, you must be satisfied. For further details contact me.
you will need a Nokia BB5 Unlocker.. there are many out in the market.. would recommend Dejan's unlocker if u can get ur hands on one of those..
alternatively, you can goto any phone shop and get it done for aroung £15-20 max.. or you can ask vodafone and they will provide you with the unlock code. (they will give it for free if you are old customer, or they would charge some fee) (Old customer : atleast 10 months on contract or 6 months PAYG) cheerz
Baby-dribble + Phone = Dead Phone
If your phone was exposed to baby-dribble, your kid might have killed your Phone.
Take it to your local Service-Center and have them take a look at it. Let them decide if the phone could be repaired or might be up for early replacement.
Normal warranty-conditions might not cover the damage if its "moisture-damage".
