SOURCE: Jenn-Air JXT8030ADS kitchen hood has stopped working

Although there was still power going to the hood, my husband decided to try flipping the breaker. This must have reset something in the fan as it is now working.

the micro switches have a common hot/normally open&normally closed. The way we install the system is with contactors .Landing the line and load on the contactor lugs and powering the coils with the n/o or n/c side of the micro switch . exhaust turns on and make up air,all electrical and gas shuts off.

Gear shifter will not come out of park

Probably a problem with shifter interlock . This interlocker will not let gear shifter move without your foot on the brake pedal . , brake switch sends a voltage signal to usually A BCM - body control module , which controls a solenoid which unlocks the shifter interlocker . Find a wiring diagram at http://bbbind.com/free_tsb.html to test the electrical part of the system . http://www.autoshop101.com/forms/h18.pdf

Troubleshooting Air Conditioner Electrical Problems

Most problems with air conditioners (A/C) are electrical problems, not Freon problems. This is an article containing tips on troubleshooting A/C electrical problems. There are two circuits involved in an air conditioner. There is the line voltage, 120 or 240 Volts Alternating Current (VAC) and the control voltage (24VAC) circuits. The control voltage is used to turn on the line voltage compressor and motors.

In troubleshooting A/C problems you have to determine if the problem is a control circuitry issue or a line voltage issue or component. The first thing you want to do is determine if you have line voltage. You check the breaker at your main fuse box and any fuses at the disconnect box next to the outdoor unit. To check the fuses, turn the power off at the breaker box and remove the fuses. Take a multimeter and place it on the resistance setting. (Rx1) Place one lead on one end of the fuse and the other lead on the opposite end. If the meter arrow goes to zero, the fuse is good. If it stays at infinity (a sign that looks like an 8) it is bad or open. Replace the fuse, as they will blow especially during initial season start-up of the compressor.

If you take your thermostat cover off you will see several small wires. If you take a jumper wire and touch the red wire to the green wire the indoor fan motor should start. This tells you that you have 24VAC control voltage. If it doesn't start, there is a transformer or control voltage wiring problem. To further confirm you have a control voltage problem, remove the access panel to the outdoor unit. You will see a contactor. Use an insulated screwdriver and manually push that contactor in. (Make sure your hand is on the insulated portion of the screwdriver) If the outdoor fan and compressor start, the problem is in the 24VAC control circuitry.

Check for input line voltage at the transformer with a multimeter set on 120 or 240VAC. If you have line voltage, check the output side of the transformer for 24VAC. Trace the problem from the location you have voltage to the place you do not, but should have, using the wire diagram or common sense.

WIRING DIAGRAM FOR A DAYTON EXH. FAN FOR A GREENHOUSE. tHE FAN GOES TO A THERMOSTAT THEN TO ELECTEICAL BOX

So far, I cannot locate a wiring diagram for an installation. However, this is a single phase "shaded pole" motor.

For a single speed, shaded pole motor, there are only two power wires. For a dual speed motor, a third wire provides a second speed. One wire will be one side of the motor coil(s)...connected to the white power wire. The other wires are the opposite side of one or two motor coils, connected to the black power wire or through a thermostat. A thermostat is simply a temperature operated switch. An additional wire may (should) be a green "grounding" wire.

Hi,I have a travel trailer 37ft. Problem with my ac, the fan starts good but my compressor does not kick on. My next door neighbour says it's the compressor that is done. Could you help me?

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
Motor Trouble Cause Diagnostic Procedure Repair Procedure Electrical Power is Off Check that all service switches for the equipment are in the "on" position.
Check for voltage at the pump motor or pump controls. If no voltage is found, check for voltage at the electric panel.
If power is on to the building, check fuse or circuit breaker serving the electric motor that won't run.
Check for local reset button on the motor (popped out = off )
Check for other power reset or power off buttons such as an access door compartment safety switch that turns off power to the equipment (found on A/C blower compartment doors)
Turn on "off" switches.
Replace bad fuse. Reset circuit breaker; if necessary replace bad circuit breaker.
Let hot electric motor cool down, then push in its reset button.
Be sure all safety interlock switches such as on compartment doors are depressed and that the doors are securely shut. Replace a bad safety switch.

Loose, improper, or broken motor wire Check wiring against the motor installation manual diagram, check all connections for tightness, shorts, burns, damage Rewire or repair or replace wWhen a sealed compressor motor has "burned out" this means that the internal wiring of the motor has become irreparably damaged: the compressor motor windings may be burned and shorted together or shorted to the steel shell of the motor, or the windings may have burned and simply become "open" or disconnected. If the motor has burned out in either of these ways it needs to be replaced.

Need wiring diagram for a carrier 383kav11048075? im replacing the icm281 control module. gas furnace

There should be a wiring diagram on the panel of the furnace. In the box of the icm 281 is step by step instructions.

Maybe this will help

Take notes on your low voltage wires from the thermostat and condenser. W Y R C G. Write down what color wires go to above terminals.

On your high voltage wiring,
Take the black wire from the transformer and put it on PR-1.
Take the white wire from the transformer and put it on PR-2
Take the black power wire from the panel interlock switch and connect it to L1
Take the white neutral power wire and connect it to L2
Take the black fan motor wire and connect it to HI
Take the red fan motor wire and connect it to LO
Take the white fan motor wire and connect it to COM
Then reconnect your low voltage terminal wires to W Y R C G.

Thats it.

the wiring has to go to the microswitches
you can add up to three micro switches, they are located in the control box
there colors should be bl,brown and red
look for nc or no(you can depress the switch by hand to see when you press itup it shuts power
it has to be repeated for the light, plugs and make-up air
to pass inspection when you press up on switches the have to shut off electric lights and make up air
you dont need a relay.
the basic system is a contactor line and load runs exhaust and make up air power in power out.
you need power just for the contactor to pull in.
you need to add a switch break hot on contactor power
