Do you need to replace the upper or lower light bulbs?
For both, first open the door of the fireplace. For the upper light, locate the upper bulb bracket (above the door). Bend the bracket down. Unscrew the old bulb and replace it with 7 W clear chandelier or candelabra bulb with an E12 base. Bend the bracket back up to its original position. Close the door, if only the upper bulb is out.
You will need a Phillips blade screwdriver to replace lower bulbs. Open the door (if it wasn't already open). Locate the screw that holds the log set in the center of the ember bed. Remove that screw and the log set. Locate the bulbs that are behind the log set and determine if one or both bulbs need to be replaced. Unscrew the bulb(s) to be replaced. Screw in the replacement 60 W clear chandelier or candelabra bulb with the E12 base. Replace the log set and press firmly against the glass. Replace the screw that holds the log set. Close the fireplace door.
The procedure to replace the bulbs is on page 4 of the service manual. It is also on pages 10-11 of the Owner's Manual. The documentation is available from Dimplex: http://www.dimplex.com/en/customer_support/technical_and_troubleshooting . The direct link to the service manual is http://www.dimplex.com/cms/publications/7400650000R04.pdf . The Owner's manual is here: http://www.dimplex.com/cms/publications/7206570100R09.pdf .
I hope this helps.
