Question about ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe Motherboard
I have an A8N-SLI Deluxe mother board i ran it for 1-2 year no problems and then one day it shuts down wont boot back up i pulled the side of the case off and then started in i checked all the connectors nothin thought maybe the gphx card died bought an new one i currenty have 1 stick kingston kvr/1gr in it not sure of the processor but the comp did work for awhile shut down couldnt boot i get no beeps nothing on the screen so i let it sit for awhile i went back to it blew off some dust cleaned it up and it worked ? worked for about 3-4 months then shut down doing the same thing i have no clue what could be wrong i hope you can help thanks in advance
You are correct that brand of motherboard from Asus do have some problems, I have the exact board now and sometimes those crazy things happens to me, my fan is not working for over a year now and their is no solution but to buy another board base on research that I have done. Plus Asus don't support those boards any more. So if it is the board you better of buying a new one. But also important is to check your Hard drive, Ram and Graphics card because those can be the problem also. I had Ram and HD problems before that was doing the say thing that you explained. I hope this helps also their is software from asus that you can use to check the status of the motherboard most likely it will tell you if the board is going bad, I think it is(please vote/rate me)

First you want to make sure
the power supply works, they can stay on for a week then die, then work again , then die
then disconnect the cd rom, and see if it still has the same problem,
next could be the processor , this would be the cheapest part next in line,
processors get warm when they work
if not , you would replace that before motherboard
you can also disconnect the hard drive a while
to make sure there are no config errors
