SOURCE: Replacement parts for K-Tec Kitchen Machine

I just talked with Blendtec about this issue, since I had the same problem. I asked if there was a stronger drive shaft since my previous Kitchen Champ model had a different, sturdier drive shaft that lasted about ten years.

The company representative explained that the new drive shaft is designed to break, but that's to save the motor. If the stress on the drive shaft could damage or cause excessive wear to the motor, the drive shaft breaks instead.

She also recommended using just enough flour so that the bread dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl. The reason most drive shafts experience too much stress is due to too much flour in the recipe.

To replace the drive shaft, go to http://www.blendtec.com/Parts.aspx or call Blendtec at 1-800-Blendtec

The only part that will work for the Kitchen Champ is the Drive Shaft (Champ). Apparently, the German drive shaft -- which looks like the one from my old Kitchen Champ -- is not interchangeable.

Since this is my second Kitchen Champ and my previous one lasted over ten years, I'm delighted to understand what went wrong. I'm hopeful that using less flour will prevent another problem. And, I'm very pleased with how helpful Blendtec was, explaining this to me.

SOURCE: KitchenAid Parts

Given the age of a 3-C stand mixer, finding additional parts for it will be exceedingly difficult. The best recommendation is through E-Bay or antiques stores - a specialty dealer. Kitchenaid parts distributors will no longer have anything in inventory for the 3-C mixer.

SOURCE: The motor runs, but but the part where you attach

One or more of the gears in the transmission have probably stripped. These are repairable, I have repaired mine in the past.

You can find a parts breakdown on www.SearsPartsDirect.com, or other places on the Web.

Disassemble, clean all parts and the casing of grease. Reassemble, including an application of new clean "food safe" grease, or that recommended by KitchenAid.

Cuisinart 5.5 stand mixer head-lift release lever will not stay engaged?

First try adjusting it. The head may be set so low, the head can't latch. Does it latch with no whisk attachment? The video shows how to adjust it with the whisk in place using a dime..

If that isn't the reason, spares are available and dealer service is available.

A mixer blade for an Oreck MKT800

Hello, Gary -

From what I have found about the Oreck MKT800 Vertical 5 Speed Hand Mixer, there is no "mixer blade" attachment for the appliance. The attachments for the mixer are:
- 2 beaters
- 2 whisks
- 2 dough hooks

You can see an image of the hand mixer with all 6 attachments here:
http://www.qvc.com/Oreck-Vertical-5-Speed-Hand-Mixer-with-Attachments.product.K6135.html

If you mean a replacement beater, whisk, or dough hook for your Oreck MKT800, so far, I have not found a source for those replacements.

Best wishes.

Kitchenaid whisk will no longer slip past the locking pin to rotate and attach on the spindle.

this might help... the whisk has a slightly larger whole then the other attachments. it is also inset. there is a washer that holds the spring on. if that is slightly off or bent it won't sit in the Whisks inset right. look a little closer to that and the spring. if there happened to be dried on food that could be the slight difference that can prevent it from staying one. Hope this helps!!!

When making cresceent cooky batter what mixers do I use to make the dough?

If you're making cookie batter, you use the whisk type mixer(s). If it's a bread dough, you use the solid flat type mixer(s).

There was no manuals in the box. I would like to download one free.

what do you need a manual for, just throw your stuff in there and mix it, the hook is for bread dough. the white paddle is for like potatoes, the whisk is for eggs, just dont put the stainless steel bowl in the dishwasher, wash it by hand

Whisk attachment is stuck on mixer.

I took a small crowbar, and put the curved end up inside the whisk, and hammered the other end lightly. After about 20 taps, the peg was lined up with the sideways opening so I could twist it off. When I got it off, it looked like there was either flour inside the part where the whisk attaches, or some light corrosion was going on. Either way, I'm going to put a little grease in there so it doesn't happen again.

The motor runs, but but the part where you attach the whisk doesn't turn. We were mixing a fairly heavy dough an it got quite hot. We've tried it since now that is is not hot and it still doesn't work....

SILLY QUESTION

Push the whisk attachment post up into the mixer, turn counter-clockwise and it should lock into position.
