Re: Contacts

No particular solution for it.
Just simply transfer you sim contacts to Phone memory.
Doing this you will have a plus point that you can put more details to your contact also to be on a safer side back up your contacts and calender on PC

Sim card used in samsung phone (contacts saved to sim) when transferred to nokia c5 it doesnt show any contacts. I've tried in another nokia and its fine

You have to set the memory of your current phone, change it to sim memory so that you can retrieve the number save in your sim.

I have put my sim card into my samsung f480 but the contacts have not transferred over. I know that my contacts are definately saved to my sim, please help!!!

if you are sure that your contacts are in the Sim, you can copy it in your samsungs memory from your sim card. Some unit will show your sim contacts unless you transfer it in your phones memory.

you can check that option at the Contact or Phonebook menu of your phone.

Hope I get your problem.

Hi, i have a nokia x3 and it won't show the callers name even though they're in my contacts. what do i need to do to rectify this? Thanks!

This could arise as a result of two things.
First thing, if the default contacts are the sim contacts and then there are no contacts stored to the phone memory. You have to set it up to show the sim contacts as the default or phone contact(depending on which memory is having the contacts). Better still, you can copy the contacts from your sim to phone memory.
secondly, since you are sure that it is stored to the phone, and it still doesn't show, it is as a result of storing the contact with two different names. Possibly when you changed the sim into the new phone, it made some changes to the contacts and saved them from your sim to your phone memory. As a result, there are 2 names for one number and the phone cannot pick which to show. The number has to be stored with a particular name both on phone and sim memory.
if you need more information, contact me.

Contact list is not visible, however if some one calls it gives us name and no. How to correct this

Hello welcome to fixya,
Actually there are two memories in cell, Sim storage and phone storage, The contacts which is showing u when somebody calls u 'll be in sim storage.
To show the contact list. Go to your "Contacts" and then go in options" There 'll be an option as "settings" When u 'll open it. There 'll be a option of memory just open it and change it into "sim memory". Memory 'll be changed and then It 'll show all the contacts in the contacts list.
Best of Luck
