Assuming that it is bent beyond just being able to straighten it, the best solution is just get a new charger. If you are handy with a soldering iron and you can find a replacement end that matches (electronics stores, Radio Shack) you can cut the old end off and solder a new one on. Look at the old one carefully and make sure that you connect the new one the same way. To get a good look at the old one, once you've removed it from the chord, split it open so you can see exactly which wire goes to the inside connector and which to the outside connector.

Toshiba SAT A505-S6005 Power cord was plugged when laptop fell to the floor and hit where the cord attaches to the receptical (on computer) which jammed (pushed) the thin connector prong further into

When this happens it means that the whole recepticle has been broken off of the motherboard and the whole laptop will have to be disassembled. This is not an easy job for someone who hasn't done one before. After it's disassembled it has to be determined if the recepticle can be resoldered or not. Sometimes the damage is not repairable. Good luck!

Power issues with my sylvania 10 tablet

verify your charger is actually functioning properly. if it is, try to pop the battery out, and make sure none of the metal prongs where it connects are bent or touching. if they are fine, then you should leave the battery unplugged and turn it on, and see if it stays on with the battery removed.

my voyager had the same problem i had to replace mine but you could try cleaning out the charging port and check if any prongs are bent or missing if the are bent you can bend them back, also this could be your charger check if the end is in good condition or needs to be cleaned you may need a new charger.

Bad battery. The charging circuit for a DS is in the battery and cannot be serviced. Purchase a new battery and if that doesn't solve it send DS in for repair

Won't Charge! :-(

Hi. these situations are mostly caused by a bent or broken copper prong that is located within the input charger port that is inside the phone housing.

When you insert the charge cord into the input port, there are copper prongs that will have to connect to each other and , this contact point will transfer the necessary current to the cell for a proper charge.

If the prongs are damage in any way due to broken copper or, bent copper prongs, this will prevent the necessary current from flowing to the cell.

Most remedies are crude like using a tooth pick or paper clip to straighten out the prongs inside the port. these methods do more harm than good and i recommend sending this phone in for a input port transplant. the manufacture or local repair depot is the best repair solution for this situation.

There is one thing that i would do before sending it to the repair depot. try using a completely different battery cell. if you purchase a new battery and the charger continues to not charge, this will confirm the input port failure.

Please rate and god bless:)

Charging

If there is a flashing red light it could mean the battery is faulty or loaded in the charger incorrectly. Remove the battery from the charger and wipe off with dry cloth for it could be dirty and then reload into charger. It worked for me also i made sure none of the prongs on the charger were bent where the battery fits in. Hope that helps : )
