Install Yahoo! Messenger 10 instead by this link:

http://rd.software.yahoo.com/msgr/10/msgr10us.exe


When prompted, save the .exe file to your desktop. Then double click the Yahoo! Messenger 10 file on your desktop to begin installation.

Try uninstalling Yahoo Messenger then downloading it again:

Click on: Start
Click on: Control Panel
Click on: Add/Remove Programs
Click on: Yahoo Messenger then remove

Restart your PC

Again download and install.

Delete all Yahoo Messenger references from the registry.

go to www.yahoo.com and find the download for yahoo messenger, download it and install on your computer, it should override the install you now have and fix the dll issure.

Looks like your missing a .dll file. The error should tell you which .dll file your missing. You can do a Google search to find the .dll and where to put it.

Just go into the installation path of Yahoo Messenger
> C:\Program files\Yahoo!\Messenger
and there should be a couple of .reg files
> default.reg and intl.reg
I merged those files (with a double click) and now Messenger works even on my limited account.

I think some yahoo messenger files are corrupted from your program files so you need to Re-install the yahoo messenger Just install the new version of the messenger http://messenger.yahoo.com/download/

I have the same problem with this error and I have uninstalled and reinstalled a dozen or so times. Plus I have even tried to run a registry cleaner as well and a virus scan and I still come up with the same problem. What do I do to solve this problem??

The error message indicates your operating system is not able to load one of the files required for Yahoo messenger to work.

To make sure Yahoo messenger is installed properly, download the installation files and save them to your desktop.

Once you have the installation file...

Open the control panel and uninstall the existing version of Yahoo messenger. This will remove the program from your computer and clear out the registry entries that were created during the first install of Yahoo messenger.

Reboot your pc and then run the Yahoo messenger installation file you downloaded to your desktop.
