Your best bet is to locate your local shooting club and ask someone experienced with specialist scopes. As for now, all I can suggest is to sight the scope in at 3x power. I'm not sure about a boresight on this scope, since is is at the extreme budget end of zoom scopes. If you mean it has a rangefinding (or ballistic) reticle, then you might try here: http://www.perry-systems.com/reticle_analysis.htm for basic usage guide. The reference distances will vary according to several factors, including but not exclusively: bullet weight, muzzle velocity, firing angle, windage adjust, wind direction.
