Re: Blank White Screen

Try this;

Run the recovery tool from the SanDisk website. Make sure you select "format" when prompted.

You need to put the device into "recovery mode" before you run the tool.

- Turn the device off (hold power for 20 seconds)
- Slide the hold switch into "hold" position.
- Press and hold the "record" button while connecting it to your computer. Keep holding the "record" button until you see the "new hardware found" on your computer.

Then run the recovery tool. Select format when prompted.

Please RATE my solution at the bottom.

Best of Luck.

My Sansa fuze mp3 player has become unresponsive and the screen has gone white (blank)... It does not respond even if I connect it to the computer. It does not turn off...What's wrong and how can it be...

it should turn off if you hold the reset (on) switch in the on position for ten to fifteen seconds. if that doesn't work, try downloading the firmware update. but be careful, i had the same problems, and when i downloaded the ruined the mp3 player, and sansa would not help

When i turn on my ipod, there is just a blank white screen

Ooh, blanks WHITE screen normally means there is a hardware break, try putting it into recovery mode:
Hold the Power and Home buttons together for 10 seconds, release the power button and continue holding for another 5 seconds, then plug into iTunes and restore it.
If that doesn't work I hope you have warranty because it'll be a hardware error :(
Sorry I ccouldn't have better news!

Blank White Screen on my Sansa E260 4g mp3

Try doing a soft rest on your player. Hold the power button the player for 15-20 seconds. This should power the player off, after which you should be able to power it back on.

1 Toggle the Hold switch on and off (set it to Hold, and then turn it off again).
2 Press and hold the Center and Menu buttons for at least 6 seconds, until the
Apple logo appears. this resets the ipod

Screen is blank on my Sansa c140

Hi I can see the icons for music, radio, microphone etc. but there is not text to read what is going on. When I hook it up to the computer1.gif, there is not text on the mp31.gif player, only a white screen. I would like to format the player, but it does not show up in "My Computer" I tried removing the battery for hours, someone suggested that hold the menu button down for 30 seconds but it still does not work. Any thoughts? Thanks

Blank White Screen - No Menu Showing

My Sansa has a similar problem. Sometimes when the Sansa turns on (after the Sandisk logo) the screen will either turn black, blue, or black and white stripes. The player still works, but it is hard to navigate without the screen, obviously. What I end up doing is letting the backlight turn off and then pressing any button. Sometimes when the screen comes back, the display is allright again. But sometimes it takes more than a few tries. Turning it off and on again seems to work a little better, but it is more time consuming.
