We have a brown line on the right side of the screen from top to bottom that never goes away - its about 4 inch from the right side of the screen what is the cause and what is the fix

This problems most likely causes by the board that call the T-CON decodering board. This board sit at the bottom at the middle of the LCD screen panel decodering the codes before sent it to the LCD screen panel for a picture.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish T-CON decodering board for the replacement.

Mitsubishi 40" TV, LT-40134 Vertical lines on left side of screen

I've got the same TV with the same problem. Sometimes by moving it on the stand the lines will go away but it only sometimes temporarily fixes the problem. For a while it seemed like it needed to heat up to go away but that is not the case. It seems like there is a bad connection somewhere but i cant seem to find it. One day, one thing will fix it, then the next day it wont do the trick. It gets very irritating.

This just all of a sudden happened it was not gradual. it is due to vertical section failure. please minimise bright to protect crt. solution. solution 1 check supply to vertical section. 2 check for ic failure in vertical section 3 check vertical output section parts. Is it fixable or dumpable?? Please HELP!!!! yes it is fixable it is common problem not major one. good luck.
