Paper traveling too slowly through system

My laserjet4 seems to be running the paper too slowly and the paper is coming out "baked" and wrinkled. Can it be sped up?

Re: Paper traveling too slowly through system

These do run slow 4 pages a minute, they were fast in their day.
Check driver settings on pc that paper type is set as normal paper.

Otherwise it is the paper having high moisture content or machine needs a new "baker" aka the fuser assembly rendering it unecomical for repair (lower orange roller will be creased or upper roller losing its coating)

Why is my paper coming out wrinkle Dell B1160W

Could be a number of factors.. first humidity affects paper, if there is moisture in your paper...caused by air conditioners constantly running .
check the paper by placing the back of your hand to the paper that is in the paper tray and or the package for a very cool feeling, this will definitely cause the paper to wrinkle when coming out of the fuser unit.

Also it could be charging of the paper during the transfer stage..which can be checked by starting a copy and trying to catch it before the paper enters the fuser rollers ..too late if it comes into contact with the upper and lower pressure rollers of the fuser unit.

Also the fuser unit definitely needs to be checked as a major source of wrinkling of copies..sometime the fuser roller will start loosing some of it's coating which you can easily check by viewing the condition of the upper roller.

Anyway it's either moisture in the paper, charging of the paper, or the fuser unit is the probable suspect.. check them all.

Envelopes wrinkles after running through printer

Minolta does recommend stuffing the lip inside the envelope before running. But I think it only helps with jamming. Plus high humidity can cause wrinkling.

Copy machine keeps wrinkling paper. No more jams says ready to copy and then when the paper comes out it is all wrinkled up. I have taken it apart and took air can and find a tiny piece of paper, took that...

The problem seem to be the fuser roller unit. If you know how to disassemble it ( it may be hot - take care), examine the pressure roller to see if it has the balance required of it and the 2 bearings holding the top teflon roller in place.Lubricate the 2 bearings and the collar or bushing holding the rollers in place.

Also check the tension springs on each end for even balance.

Paper wrinkles when printing

You can try these following solutions:

If the paper does not completely eject, press the paper with folded side paper button, then open the printer cover and remove the paper. Also, check the Paper Size setting in your application or printer software.
If the paper is wrinkled when it comes out, it may be damp or too thin. Load a new stack then try to print again. You can also try to check the printer alignment and the printer setting.

HP LaserJet P3005 printer prints wrinkled paper

2 reasons:
1. Was there a paper jam prior to this problem? It could be that the paper was pulled out and a small bit of it is stuck on the pins that guide the paper from the heat roller. If no torn jammed paper prior to this issue, then check out 2.

2. the heater/roller is damaged and needs to be replaced. I would suggest you take it to your nearest HP dealer to properly diagnose this for you. This would save you unnecessary cost in trying to pull it apart and causing more damage to it.

Good Luck,

My Dell 1100 keeps wrinkling and tearing the paper

Depending on wear the tear is at determines the issue. The wrinkling paper and the look of your printer sounds like some sort of fuser issue. Recycled paper is more likely to wrinkle and the grain can cause paper to wrinkle as well. The Long grain paper is up and down the sheet and short gain is side to side on a sheet of paper. If your printer is on a long grain setting and you have the pages coming out sides ways or vice versa then your print outs can wrinkle.

Phaser 7700GX Color Printer prints wrinkled pages!

when this occurs the problem is most of the time with the transport roller, fuser / fixing assembly roller.question is the image still toner only and not fused to the paper.
In these areas there is offen a jammed and not removed piece of paper dislodged in the paper path or jammed in the fuser or the transfer rollers teflon coating has perished inspect the areas carefully and remove any found if the unit still is faulty (fanning of paper the fuser would be the first to be replaced are past there usable life) if so then Post a reply
