Question about RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8100

Deleting txts and calls every hour!

My blackberry pearl 8100 also has this same issue. It started with just once a month and then in the last 4 months has been a weekly problem. However, now it is nearly every hour and sometimes every 5 mins! I still have a year left in my contract and no $ to buy a new phone! I wish someone had more advice then just to "take the battery out and then reboot when you put the battery back in" because I do this EVERY time and still it continues.

Please help!

I had that problem before, you have to clean the cookies, and cache etc, also very important connect your phone to a pc, go to www.vzam.net/blackberry/ to do updates in your phone, you'll see that will change your phone's life good luck!!!!! sandra =)

Radio path unavailable cant dial out on blackberry pearl

I know this issue, you need to call your wireless provider and ask them to run a voice trace on that call you dialed..once the trace is done, they will be able to identify the issue and fix it in < 24 hours.

Hope this was helpful...

Blackberry pearl 8100 mute button broken

I would call your provider get it put on protection plan "Dont tell them you are having issues" wait a month then call in saying you are having issues. It will cost you about 50- 85.00 for a repalcemnt but better than buying a new phone.

Otherwsie get your keypad replaced. it sounds like a mic issue on why they cant hear you.

On the Status screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, the File Free field indicates low ,if the device memory is full then these things will happen on your device,so to never have this problem delete unwanted applications. To delete run desktop manager and select application loader, select the applications that are not frequently used and remove them. Also keep the messages for a month or two because these mails will be there in your mail box.

My phone is deleting all my calls and text messages, I was wondering how I would fix that because I tried making more memory on my phone by deleting stuff but that didnt work. I also tried updating the...

my pearl used to do this all the time - only reason this happens is because you are running the old software - havent found this issue with my replacement - and because youre not closing your apps when you use them - if you keep your apps open and then just switch to phone or a diff app - it uses your memory and deletes your txts and your call log, but not your emails....... to work with this, close every app, and in the future close every app when your finished using it......

and at least a few times a week take the battery out and put it back in, this resets the memory.....

good luck

Lots of memory on blackberry pearl, but still deleting

Check to see how long your mail is configured for retention.

Open your in-basket. Press the menu button, and select "options".

Scroll to the bottom and the last option is "keep messages". You can set this for anywhere from 15 days to forever.

Blackberry Pearl: memory issues?

I do apologize you are having this issue with the Blackberry pearl 8100. Lovely device.
The manufactur, RIM is aware of the memory issue. It's a known malfunction of the device. Luckily, there's a way to fix it, and keep your pictures, logs, address book, etc.. from deleting.
First, you should have a 1GB card for your photos.
Second your phone stores what it does. So, when ever you exit an application press the back button. NOT the hang up button. It'll only leave that application running in the back ground.
Third, you can clear history by holding on ALT+LG+LG. You'll get an event log. Press MENU key, and select "Clear history".
Next, clear the cashe. Open up Internet browser, press the menu key and select clear cashe. Once you have done that, press the back button to the begining. Save all pictures on the memory card. If you don't have memory card, connect your Blackberry to your PC and use the desk top manager to sync your media over via USB cord.
Now, that you are connected via USB cord and have the desk top manager up, run application loader. This should take a total of 20 minutes. Do not REMOVE from the cord. You'll ruin the OS on the Pearl.
Once all is cleared out, and updated. Do a check on your camera, your call log, and sms's. Periodically, delete your text messages. I would say, once or twice a month run the application loader. You can always check out www.t-mobile.com/bbupgrade for the latest and great software for you Blackberry. Or, go to www.blackberry.com/btsc for tips & tricks!
RIM always updates their software every 2-4 months. That way you'll keep your Blackberry longer and stronger! Enjoy!

Cheers!
