It should work fine on 220 volt if you get the right power cord..that means the TV can run on anything from 110 to 220 volt, its common with switching power boards to be this way
If you using a TV box (Example, Telus) the best bet would be you connected everything together correctly, and make sure that all the wires are connected in the right sockets
So long as the voltage is the same and the number of cycles per second (Hertz) is the same there should be no problem.
For example: 220 volts AC 50 Hz, check the machine's specification to compare with Australian supply.
