This isn't a dryer but it's the same idea. Follow the gas line into the dryer. Take the little cover off and you need stick matches. Watch the video to get the technique....

Gas dryer pilot light

Hello Lara. Your dryer does not have a pilot light. It uses a hot surface ignitor to ignite the gas. Unplug the dryer and cover it with a plastic sheet before fogging.

How do you relight the piolt on a gas dryer?

it must be a fairly old gas dryer, because anything new does not have a pilot light. so if it has a pilot light, there will be an access panel in the front bottom of the dryer and you light it just like you do a water heater. good luck

How do i relight gas pilot light

Hello friend, thank you for your inquiry!

I understand that you want to relight the pilot on your Frigidaire dryer. For this problem I would recommend having a professional come out to the home and properly repair your appliance. One must be very careful when handling gas. -Matt

Burner on dryer comes on then shuts off and will not relight

This is only a guess based on experience: the unit may have a thermal sensor for a pilot light much like old gas wall heaters, it if bad will not allow the gas on or turn it off if pilot light goes out.

If its there it should be right at the pilot light.

Maytag gas dryer not heating

First make sure you have gas, then open lower section of this dryer you shoul see screws you will see a place to relight the pilot , if you smell gas before doing anything then stop your repair, see if the pilot is lit then push the red button and hold it relight pilot hold this button for a few min's after it relights, if it dosent relight check power goign to gas valve near pilot . Gas units have very little problems you may have just lost gas pressure and need to relight it , let me no ! what you see and we wuill go from there

How do I relight the pilot light?

Hi,
There is no pilot light on many of the dryers of today. They light with a hot surface ignitor.
Here is a tip that I wrote about dryers and no heat on gas dryers...

Kenmore 90 series propane gas dryer

Hi, You should not have a pilot light, There are electronic ignitors on the dryers. Unless this dryer is 40 years old, just start the dryer and the heat should come on.
If the heat does not work, there must be another issue.
Please let me know if I can help you further.

Thanks
Vic

No hot air

If you have a pilot light (small flame) you can try to re-light it by turning the knob on the gas valve to the pilot position and pushing the knob down while lighting the pilot, you may have to hold the knob down for up to 30 seconds before releasing it. The pilot should stay lit and then turn the knob to the on position. If the pilot will not stay lit or the main burner will not light it could be the gas valve or the temperature sensor.
