Nintendogs (dalmatian ed) stuck in ''naming'' loop

My daughters nintendogs (dalmatian ed) is stuck in a continuous loop where it wants you to name the dog but when you say its name (which the dog seems to recognise!) it asks you to name the dog again and again etc. I bought the game second hand from ebay and it worked Ok for about a week but now has this problem. Anyone had a similar problem and know if it can be fixed ?

The exact same thing happened to me with my nintendogs lab and friends. i was in a completely silent spot and it still wouldnt work. what i did is that i got a new dog and gave it a new name. the rest of the game worked perfectly for me after that.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

When my daughter powered up her DS, all her data had gone. The game started in the same way it starts the first time you play it. Any ideas on how I can retrieve all her data? Thanks Andrew

I don't think you can get it back. All of your info went because when your nintendogs was starting, Somone pressed all the buttons on your nintendo and that deleted all of the software.

My friend accedently deleted my first dog! i really want her back! She was a Huskey named Ellie on dachshund nintendogs! she is light gray!

Unfortunately, there is no way to get your dog back.
Once it is deleted, it is gone for good.
Make sure that only people you trust play your games so that this does not occur in the future.

Naming the Nintendog

Unfortunatly you can't rename your dog but you could try donating it and buying it back or start the game over again To do this at the start of the game(when there is a white screen)hold in x,a,b,y,R and L at the same time. If it is a dog you received in bark mode just do it again! Sorry i couldn't be more help! Good luck with whatever your daughter decides to do!

How?

This is a very frustrating part of the game. Believe me I know from experience!! When you first get a dog you want to talk to it or call it over. You could even try to take it for a walk but it wont let you because it doesn't know its name! So when you train it you just have to keep saying his name. It took me like a month to get it right. It just takes time and patience.
