Question about Roper REX3614KW Electric Dryer

What would cause intermittant heating in a Roper Electric Home Dryer?

Good morning, love this idea of helping people. Does anyone have experience with checking the heating element? Both fuses are working but oftentimes, we have to re-run clothes as its a hit or miss heating game. Any ideas on how to check if a heating element is actually working? Really appreciate any help. thx, Aimee

The dryer vent, not the parts behind the dryer, where it goes into the wall to where the vent leaves the house has lint build up in it. this will cause the element to short cycle cause long dry times. if its really bad ive seen people have to run dryer 3 or 4 times to get clothes dry. clean out vent. this should solve problem

Roper electric dryer heats & tumbles but won't dry clothes

If your dryer IS still heating, but your clothes still won't dry, you may want to check the dryer interior cabinet and/or the entire exhaust ducting from where it exits your dryer to the point where it leaves your home to ensure you have no kinks or clogs. The following link explains many of the problems that can cause poor drying efficiency and longer dry times:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3578821-dryer_takes_too_long_to_dry

Before assuming you have a problem with the appliance, check your installation to ensure you are providing the dryer with proper exhaust and air flow. A dryer in a clogged state or having improper air flow will not dry efficiently and will cause the heating circuits to actually overheat. Eventually, this can lead to component failures and is the source of many fire hazards. If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.

Dryer has some heat but is taking a long time to dry clothes

This type of problem can be caused by a partially burnt heating element, a blown thermal fuse, or a faulty high limit thermostat. All of these components can be checked using an ohm meter or multimeter. Sure hope this helped and best wishes.

Dryer fuses are always dying and I have no heat

The fuses are doing a  great job 4U, they burn up instead  of U or your dryer.
If you having this problem is because these a bad circuit, please be sure to talk to a relative or a friend about this electric issue.
I also found this
(check that the fuses are firmly seated, clean the contacts if they look dirty).  Fuse contacts are not designed to heat up and will eventually "burn-in" when they become resistive.
Fuses will protecting you n your love once against fire because eventually wit out it will cause fire.

Roper Dryer will not heat

I don't have a picture of the rear panel available, but if you have to remove the exhaust duct to remove the panel, I would be checking to ensure the exhaust ducting is not clogged/restricted. The duct does not have to be completely blocked to cause the dryer not to heat properly.

Please take the time to give this solution a fix ya rating.
