I can't get my printer to work - Epson WorkForce 310 All-In-One InkJet Printer

try hp cartridges, some copies don't work.

Please check it power cable or power board, if power section ok or working.
Then check you printer connection or not.
Check printer cartridge shot or not detect.
Check it printer head, if header not working then not print coming.
Check it your printer driver installed or not, if installed may be some problems then your printer not working. So old driver delete or new driver installed.

Do you have the correct XP driver for the Printer? If yes check that the cable that connects the printer to your system is not damaged. If you have another working system near by you can connect the printer to the system and confirm the printer is working. If the printer is still not working, the printer port may be bad either on the system or on the printer. In this case you need a technician to help you confirm which is the faulty one.

you did not provided any useful information, what operating system you use, what printer, what connection (usb, paralel, network) and what laptop.

general advice only can be provided then.

if windows of any flavour, disconnect the printer, uninstall all software pertaining to this printer. use ccleaner and clean your harddrive including registry.

check printer on another computer if it works. if printer works correctly, problem is with your laptop, not with printer.

follow this procedure, install software, connect printer, switch printer on, windows will automaticaly install drivers and printer software

if this do not work, you need to check if port used for printer work with other hardware, ie, usb stick, check cable between printer and relevant port.

hhhmmm... maybe you have installed the drivers many times.. the printer shows more copies in the printer panel... you must delete those printers... because that will cause conflict .... 

restart both printer and computer then report back if any changes

Make sure the printer is not set to work offline by right clicking the printer under printers in your control panel. If that is not the case make sure that when you are trying to print the printer is setup as the default printer.
