SOURCE: Brother 2001 sewing and embroidery machine.

The fact that your machine is turning hard says you still have some thread inside the machine that is binding up and activating the safety device. It must turn easily before it will work properly again.
Sometimes the machine must be disassembled to remove these threads.

SOURCE: Upper thread wraps around bobbin mechanism, while sewing

IT PROBABLY IS THREADED INCORRECTLY. GO SLOWLY BY THE DIAPHRAGM AND MAKE SURE IT IS THREADED CORRECTLY. ALSO MAKE SURE SPOOL PIN HOLDERS ARE IN PLACE THAT HELPS TO GUIDE THE THREAD CORRECTLY.

SOURCE: Bobbin Case will not snap into housing

Insert the bobbin case without a bobbin to see if it will go all the way into the locked position. If it does, the bobbin case and basket are okay.
Check inside the bobbin basket(where the bobbin goes) and see if there is thread or lint wrapped around the spindle the bobbin case sits on. If there is, remove it. If there isn't ,then the bobbin is probably sprung and needs to be replaced.

SOURCE: Not picking up the Bobbin thread

Sounds like you have to take off the throat plate and clean out threads under it.  Sometime they ball up and prevent the needle from going down and catching the bobbin thread. You can't see themuntil you take off the plate.  Follow the directions.  It is easy.

Top thread keeps breaking on ESe2.

Many things can inter fear with the thread and cause it to break. A common problem is the thread getting wrapped around the top tension rollers on that machine. You can take off the "face cover" (side cover on the left) and look from the side and see if the 2 little rollers have thread wrapped around or underneath them. Start there.

Bobbin thread shows on top of machine embroidery

You are not getting bobbin tension somehow. Either not threaded correctly in the assembly or it needs to be adjusted tighter.

Top thread wraps around bobbin

Is it birdnesting under the bottom or it is actually getting tangled inside the bobbin case? I've had my machine for almost a year and don't think I've had your exact issue. Sometimes, when you do a stich over a already stitched portion, you may have a problem with the bobbin and I just generally stop and start it again. It is important that you use the correct needle and also use a good embroidery thread and stablizer. Another thing suggested is changing the needle after about every 5 designs. Also, check the bobbin case to make sure there's no fuzzies caught in it. I use "canned air" like you use on computer keyboards. I also only use 40 weight emboidery thread for the top and actual bobbin thread for the bottom. Other threads can really jam everything up. So it's been trial and error to find the right combinations. Good Luck!
