It is an astronomical telescope, and that is normal. To see land objects correctly, you need to add an erecting eyepiece.

You need to purchase .965 diameter eyepieces. 700mm ( focal length of scope)/ eyepiece focal length=magnification. Maximum power of a 60mm scope is about 225x (under perfect conditions)
I would get a 25mm 700/25=28x for low power see link below
http://cgi.ebay.com/Meade-MA25-25mm-965-telescope-eyepiece-NEW-/230542978572?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35ad6eae0c
and then for higher power 700/8=87.5x
http://cgi.ebay.com/Astro-Optics-8mm-Deluxe-965-Telescope-Eyepiece-/230543763551?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35ad7aa85f
There are not many options with .965 eyepieces I would get a .965 to 1.25 adapter or .965 to 1.25 hybrid diagonal. That way you have more options on better eyepieces and the 1.25 eyepieces can be used for better telescopes in the future.

Where do I get lens for a polaris meade 60AZ-D?

You mean an eyepiece--- these are sold by many on-line retailers. Eyepieces come in 3 sizes--
.965 inch, 1.25 inch, and 2 inch. Your scope is probably a 1.25 inch-- measure the hole in the focuser to be sure.

Here are two retailers:

BI need to replace some of the eyepieces...what did the 60AZ originally come with? and where can I purchase them?

You can buy eyepieces from many on-line retailers. Eyepieces come in 3 sizes .965, 1.25 and 2 inch sizes. The .965 size is harder to find. Measure the HOLE in the focuser or the diagonal and buy the correct size.

I need a manual for the star quest by meade model number 60AZ-T

The manuals will not help you USE the telescope to find objects in the night sky. They only have assembly instructions. Here is Meade's web site with all the manuals they publish. Find your telescope.

I think i am missing parts. what connects the diagonal mirror to the focuser drawtube?

The diagonal simply slips inside the hole at the rear of the telescope. A small thumb screw secures it. The eyepiece then goes into the diagonal.

What is the proper way to assemble this telescope

Read the manual-- if you do not have one they are all located on this page:
http://www.meade.com/manuals/index.html

This is a simple refractor telescope. Put the diagonal into the focuser and then put the eyepiece into the diagonal.
