Question about Craftsman 24 Hp 48" Deck Yard Tractor
My craftsman 917.275682 quit while I was cutting grass just shut off
now it will not turn over or do any thing. I try jumping the across soleniods and that turns the motor but it never acted like it was firing.
Sounds funny but have you tried checking the oil. Most of the newer model small engines have a oil shut off switch that kills the engine if it runs low on lube. Also try looking around behind the control panel I know that my craftsmen mower has a inline fuse on one of the hot wires that run to the engine elctrical and when it blows absolutely nothing will happen. You may also check the seat safety switch witch kills the mower if you stand up. Not recommend you run it this way but you can test it by lifting up the seat and unplugging the switch and putting a jumper wire across the body harness connecter. Again this is just a test procedure the switch is there for the protection of the operator and if faulty I highly recommend replacing the switch.
