We have a SMEG 60cm gas stove/oven. The stove works perfectly, but the flame keeps going out on the over and sometimes on the grill. Have checked that the ignitor button is in the correct position next to the gas flow. Any suggestions?

Hello. I have a smeg stainless steel oven in my rented house. I have a problem IN KNOWING of what tempertaure I should use for making cakes. Canadian would be 350F.Many thanks. Leila

350 is a good starting point. Some cakes require different temperatures. May I suggest that you read "The Cake Bible" for excellent instructions on temperature.

SMEG Oven won't heat up

This is late response but this fault is your fan element. You have two of them, if heating slower than usual, it is only one that has failed. When replacing one, it is recommended the other one be replaced. Tripping the circuit breaker is the symptom. These elements 2100 Watt each are anywhere between $70 to $110.
