Question about Hayward H Series Pool & Spa Heater 400k Btu Propane Gas Milivolt Ignition H400p1
Have a hayward natural gas pool heater that had a leak. repaired leak and then when trying to start it up again the heater tries to light and the fan runs but you just smell gas and it does not light. can you relight and auto ignite pilot? or is it something else? checked connections and gas and water pressure are good. Only 3 months of use.
It is possible to light a pool heater with an ignition device, however it is not advisable.since your unit is calling for heat and the gas valve is opening,i suspect you have a faulty ignitor
