Question about Samsung WEP200 Headset

1 Answer

Endless charging I have had my samsung wep200 plugged in since this morning and it is now 9PM and the light has not changed to blue. I tried turning it on several times and the light turns red eventually. What should I do?

Thank you for the tip but I tried using the headset despite the unsuccessful charging and it seems to run ok. Will try it for a while before I decide to change the batteries. :)

Dear Chaterbox,

Sounds like your batteries needs replacements, try using new ones.

How do I acitivate it

Charge your headset
Charge the headset's battery fully before using the headset for the first time.
1 Put the headset in the supplied charging case and close the cover.
2 Plug the travel adapter into the case's charging socket.

Put your headset in pairing mode
1 Ensure that the headset is off (see Turn headset on/off below).
2 Press and hold the Multi-Function button until the indicator light turns on in blue (approximately 8 seconds).

Turn on Bluetooth on your phone and pair with headset
1 Set your Bluetooth phone to discover the headset by following your phone's guide.
Typically, the steps involve going to the Settings, Connection, or Bluetooth menu on your phone and then selecting the option to discover Bluetooth devices. Your phone will find the Samsung WEP200
2 Select Samsung WEP200.
3 When the phone asks if you want to pair with it, confirm by selecting Yes or OK.
4 Enter the headset passkey or PIN, 0000.

Your phone and headset are now paired and ready to make and receive calls.
1 Place the headset over your ear.
2 On your phone, make a call to the number you want.
3 If your phone and headset are successfully paired, you will hear ringing on the headset

After you have successfully paired your phone and headset, you do not need to repeat these initial setup steps each time you use the headset.

To turn the headset on
Press and hold the Multi-Function button for4 seconds until you see 4 blue flashes on the indicator light, then release. You will hear a tone and see the indicator light flashes while the power is on.

Hi I have a samsung AATH200HBC bluetooth headset that was a gift and I've had it on charge for 24 hrs. Blue light is working but dont seem to be able to get any connection with it. Trying to pair it with...

this works with the Samsung range quite well also but you must get the sequence correct - phone blue tooth active BEFORE you turn on the headset then press and hold the on button until the blue light stays solid blue.

I have been trying to charge my samsung wep200 but the red light keeps turning off, does that mean its fully charged or is there a problem with it?

I had the same problem. Red light would be on for a second, then nothing.
This sounds like the dumbest, most obvious thing, but I started playing with the connections. Assumed it was the two contacts inside the box not touching, but that wasn't it.
Finally wiggled the charger plug that goes into the hole in the box, and when I pushed it in really hard, tada, the red light went on and stayed. I still have to jam the plug in for it to work, but it charges the headset fine now.
Must be a design flaw. If your unit is still under warranty, you might try to get a new charger with a better plug fit, if your problem is similar to mine.
