Look carefully on the board itself. Sometimes the wire color codes are labeled right next to the connector. If not, there may be some other letter codes and these should match the ones on the thermostat.
I had two of these heaters and they both started to malfunction about the same time. The lights near the display window would not come on and there was a buzzing noise when it was plugged in. We determined that some kind of a relay inside was not working anymore. I got rid of both of these heaters and had to buy new ones. Seems like they lasted just past the warranty.
