Question about Nikon Coolpix S210 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Photos are being stored in the camera memory instead of the card

I have put the correct digital memory card into the camera but I can't find the setting to get the camera to store photos on the card rather than in its own internal memory. I have looked all through 'MODE' and 'MENU'.

I have done some more research and now think that unless you format the memory card (in the Set Up Menu) it won't store photos.

Once the memory card is inserted correctly the camera will store photos on the memory card, if it is removed, the camera will store photos on the internal memory.

No memory card was in my camera. How can I recover the photos from my camera?

The photos are stored in the camera's internal memory.

If you normally transfer your photos to your computer by connecting them with the USB cord, remove your memory card before making the connection. If you normally transfer them by putting the memory card into a card reader, transfer the photos to the memory card using the camera's "Copy" or "Backup" command.

My cannon PowerShot SX150IS is not uploading all of the pictures on my camera only some of them Why and how do I correct this

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS AND VIDEOS TO A COMPUTER
If your photos and videos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos and to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

I just bought a sanyo camera vpc-t1495 and took 2 pictures and now its saying memory is ful. what do i do to correct this.

Good day,

The camera has a small internal memory that you can use to store photos on. The internal memory is normally not enough to take a lot of photos. You are able to delete the current photos by erasing the memory or deleting the photos one by one.

The solution is to purchase a memory card. I would recommend a 4 Gb SD Card.

With the extra space the memory card provides it will take a while before you run out of memory. When the card is starting to get full download all the images to your computer and erase the SD Card.

Hope this answers your question!

Regards

How do i access the photos stored in the internal memory, not on the memory card?

If you remove the memory card, the camera will show you the photos stored in internal memory and allow you to delete them.

If you want to copy the pictures from internal memory to a memory card, put in a memory card and then select "Copy" from the Playback menu.

My Pentax Optio S5z does not store images to SD

Copy your photos to the SD card in the camera. http://www.pentaximaging.com/files/manual/OptioS5z_web.pdf p. 136
Transfer all photos to your computer from your SD card, and then put the card back into your camera. Try looking through your manual to see if there are any other settings that are required in order to save photos to the memory card.

Photos stored in Memory vs. Sim Card

Check the Camera Manual
The usual way is to put card in and using the menual tranfer from internal to card.
The computer should also pick up the camera as an external drive.
