Problem with the cooler temperature

I switched off the siemens refregerator to clean it. When i switched it on The temperature in the cooler was 19 degrees. After 4 hours the tempareture is 16 degrees. Why is that? Have in mind that today the temperature in Cyprus was 40 degrees.
