I have a HP60 notebook and it wont let me recover the i got the bootmgr black screen hlp me please

If u have Vista
boot from Vista DVD and run startup repair
or prompt command then bootsectrec /fixboot
bootsect /fixmbr
if u can't open the LapTop then there will be something on the bios I think try to replace the ram by another one of from ur friend LapTop Its so simple to replace it

When I go to boot up my acer t180 a black screen comes on and syas that the BOOTMGR is missing.Could someone please tell me why?I have checked the fans and the ram is brand new.


BOOTMGR usually means that is an issue with your OS. Were some files delete?

maby you can use xp disk to startup computer and select the R from the menu thad displays than you are in the repair funktion
type help and you see a list .
type fixboot and enter
than type exit and now you are in the dos mode

restart and i hope xp wil also repair your bootmanager and computer starts normaly

download the windows relase version and burn it to disk .it are avalebel on microsoft webpage

My acer aspire 5050 is telling me BOOTMGR is compressed what could i do to solve this problem


Get to the command line. You could do this by booting up on the Vistamag-glass_10x10.gif DVD.
Now type, at the Command line:
expand bootmgr temp
attrib bootmgr -s -r -h
del bootmgr
ren temp bootmgr
attrib bootmgr -a +s +r +h

This should help !
