Clock on T1905 timer switch has quit working. Fixable, or need a replacement?

120Volt T1905 Intermatic timer uses WG730 clock motor and 156T1950A tripper.
Timer will last many year by replacing parts, and keeping lubricated with touch of white grease, and not over-amping the 20 amp contacts

This timer can be converted into 208-277Volt timer by installing WG733 clock motor instead of 120Volt WG730.

With different timer, add a comment for possible help:

Open following links to identify timer and replacement parts, and see typical manual:

Your timer is stuck ON.
Temporarily disconnect ground wire at pump to make sure short is not somehow completing 240Volt circuit.
Move toggle switch to Auto position, and then ON and then OFF > Toggle should be able to switch Load on-off. If toggle is problem, then order 133T1115A switch.
Note if the timer dial is rotating and keeping good time: if dial is not rotating, then replace WG733-14D clock motor.
If dial is rotating, the trippers might be worn down. Order 156T1950A trippers.
If dial is rotating, and trippers are good, then relay might be bad. Order 143T139A relay.

I just installed a Wood 59018 timer, and when i try to turn it on manually, I hear the relay click on and then immediately off (the attached light turns on and off too). That's when the switch is set...

Timer is wired wrong and timer white and timer red wires are probably connected together.
Timer white wire has to be connected to white neutral wires that are twisted together and shoved to back of box. This will power the clock mechanism inside timer.
If box does not have white neutrals, then connect timer white wire to bare ground wire along with timer green wire.
Timer black wire connects to Hot wire.
Timer red wire connects to Load wire.

Intermatic t104p3 pool timer will turn pump ""ON" with Manual Switch but will not shut "OFF" using Manual Toggle. Pool store showed me how to remove and look at the contacts on...

Thank you for including model number so answer can be accurate as possible.

T104P3 timer works with manual override so timer is basically sound.
Clock dial rotates and keeps good time, so WG1573 240Volt clock motor is good.
Trippers do not click on-off lever, so trippers are suspect.
Trippers are made to wear down so that timer mechanism lasts years longer.

Order extra clock motor and trippers at Grainger

I having troble with my t103 timer to turn the lights on manualy i try to set the timer but for some reason doesn't work what can i do ???

T103 Intermatic timer has 120Volt clock motor and can control 120V or 240V Loads.
Wiring for timer is shown on following link:
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-T104-Intermatic-timer.html#T103

Troubleshoot T103:
1) Manual override is working correctly, and it snaps crisp and clean, and Load turns on-and-off.
That means timer is basically good.

2) Next look to see if yellow dial is rotating.
If dial is not rotating, then 120Volt clock motor needs to be replaced.
Take photo of wiring and mark wires before starting.
Remove two white wires connected to screw terminals 1 and A.
Snap timer mechanism out of box, clock motor is on back of timer.
Use small star screwdriver to remove old clock motor.
Reattach white wires on terminals 1 and A, tighten screws very tight.
Reset current time: lift and rotate dial until current time lines up with silver pointer.
Grainger sells 125V clock motor:
http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/INTERMATIC-Time-Clock-Motor-1PNK1?Pid=search

3) If dial is rotating, but gets stuck at certain times, or runs slow, then replace clock motor.

4) If dial is rotating, and trippers are attached to dial, but timer does not turn ON, then trippers are worn down and need to be replaced.
Grainger sells the T103 trippers
http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/INTERMATIC-Timer-Tripper-2E054?Pid=search

5) How Intermatic mechanical timers work:
Dial with ON-OFF trippers is rotated by clock motor.
Trippers on dial contact ON-OFF lever.
ON tripper pushes lever one direction.
OFF tripper pushes lever opposite direction.
Lever moves electrical contacts on back of timer that turn Load ON-OFF.
Manual override lever clicks back and forth with each ON-OFF action.

The yellow time dial has stopped turning and the auto switch cannot activate the sprinklers

If I understand correctly, the manual override does not work, and the clock dial does not turn.

It seems odd that both things would happen together. Usually the clock motor stops but the manual override still works.

Check that your timer has electricity. Check your breaker. It sounds like the electricity is off.

Does your manual override snap clean and crisp, or it it sluggish? If the manual override is sluggish, the timer mechanism may be rusted.

Snap the timer out from the box and look at the condition of the gears, and the override lever. If the timer is rusty and the manual override does not snap clean and crisp, then the timer needs to be replaced. Buy a new timer and swap out the insides without changing the box.

You might need a clock motor

Snap out the mechanism and get the number off clock

Intermatic site shows pages of clock motors: They are priced high, but cheaper than new timer.
https://www.intermaticstore.com/ASPI700W.pgm?task=menucntrl&menuopt=TM

Aplus supply sells assortment of Intermatic clock motors.
http://www.aplussupply.com/intermatic/timermotors.htm

To search these pages quickly for your clock numbers, use browser Find (Click edit at top of bowser, click Find)

Intermatic has a page with manuals:
Open page, click plus next to timers and scroll down to sprinkler and irrigation timers
http://www.intermatic.com/customer%20service/instruction%20manuals.aspx
It's good to have the manual on hand in case the product is discontinued

Clock does not work to turn pool filter on and off. do I need a new timer mechanism or clock motor

Things to check:

1) Is yellow dial rotating? If not, then clock motor is probably bad. T-100 240V time clock motor sells for $16 at grainger.
Also timer may not be getting 240V so check manual override.

2) If clock motor is turning, but manual override never clicks on-and-off, then pins are probably worn out. Buy pins at grainger

3) Does manual override work? Does it click crisp? If manual override clicks crisp on-and-off, and pool filter turns on-and-off normally, then a) the circuit is getting 240V and b) the timer mechanism is ok ... so clock motor is probably bad.

4) If manual override snaps crisp but pool timer does not turn on, then then circuit breaker could be bad, wire is loose, motor has gone bad
Test for 240 across poles 1 and 2
... or timer contacts are worn out & you need new T-104
See back of mechanical timer

5) If manual override is loose or sluggish, then you need new T104. You can buy a T-104, T-104R, T-104M etc ... and the interior body will snap into old box.

Note: Do not buy T-101 or T-103 as these have 120V motor.

Once T101 Timer Shuts Off will not turn back on

you have the hot and load reversed. the power source should connect to terminal 1. the wire going on to the pool pump should be hooked to terminal 2.

the clock motor is powered off terminal 1 and A is the neutral.

what u have done is hooked the power source to #2 and the load to #1, simply switch them and everything should be fine, here is a link to the wiring diagram for the timer.

How can we turn off the automatic start of Radio or CD setting?

The activating and deactivating of the 24 hour timer is via a toggle button, labeled "TIMER" on towards the right side of the top console. When the TIMER is activated, you will see a small clock symbol on the LCD display. While the unit is on, tap the TIMER button once. The clock symbol will disappear and the timer is now off.

Reactivating the timer is the same process (remember, the button is a toggle). Tap the TIMER button and you'll see the timer settings show up on the display (time on, time off, source, and volume). The little clock symbol appears again.

If you have lost your manual, you can download another one for free from this location:

Good luck!
