Have someone leave you a voicemail, then go somewhere where you get good signal to listen to it and then delete it, you need a good couple bars to get rid of the symbol, or thats how it was with my phone

I recently got a Samsung galaxy 551. I received a voicemail today and I do not know how to listen to it. Please help.

To access your Voicemail please follow these directions. This will get you to your message and provide you easy access to it in the future.

Instructions
  • Start at your home screen, tap the square with four little squares inside,
  • Scroll left or right through the appliactions and find one that says "Voicemail" (it should look like a green talk/speech bubble with a phone in it).
  • Press and hold the icon for Voicemail, drag the icon to the location you want. You can move an application icon to another main menu screen. You can also move most-used applications next to Home. And then press save!*
  • Tap the Voicemail icon and your message will be on the top screen.
Now you should be able to check your Voicemail at any time and know how to place an icon for convenience.

Hope this helped!

Voicemail icon wont go away

Check your voicemail box and make sure you have listened to the messsage completely, if you hang up before you listened to the complete message it does not allow the phone to recognize that. After that reset the phone by powering it down and removing the battery and plugging it back in. That should do the trick.

VOICEMAIL iCON ALWAYS DISPLAYED

Your provider can remove the voicemail icon on you screen but you have to contact them of course. Sometimes what happens is the voicemail is exited improperly and what you'll need to do it get back into your voicemail and follow the prompts to exit the system (I believe it is the star button to exit voicemail). What I would do is leave yourself a message, call into your voicemail, delete the message and exit the system. If icon is still on the screen then you have no choice but to contact provider. Good luck and hope this helped.

Philips pronto now 5 years old --touch screen has become unresponsive. what to do?

There should be a reset button on the back or under the battery cover. if that doesn't work, then you can try to connect to the computer and reload your program. If you don't have the software you can find it at the phillips website. If you can't find the website email me the model and I'll try to find for you.

Where can I get a detailed manual for my CECT 168 phone?

That is the only manual available for this phone. :(

However to remove the battery flip the phone over with the camera pointed torwards you. Put your thumbs below the camera, right past the compartment line and push outwards. It's kind of hard.

To delete voicemail messages, while you are on the call look at the bottom of the screen and you should see a green phone icon. Tap that icon and the dial pad will pop up to allow you to dial 9 to save the message or 7 to delete.

If you have any more questions just post them here!

Voicemail icon won't go away.

I've had the same problem as well. I made sure no messages were there, then called and left myself a message from another phone. I went in and listened to the message and waited till the option to delete came on and for the indication there were no more messages. Icon was gone.

This is a common problem, most often fixed by calling your voicemail from another phone and checking the messages. Call your mobile, press * when the voicemail answers, and then enter your pin code. If you don't have any voicemails, leave one first, then call back from the outside line and clear them out.
