Hi, try this.
Feed paper in tray 1.
If this works fine you better replace the roller and separation pad in tray 2.
To test where the swath of ink is comming from try this:
Feed papaer in tray 1.
Send a printjob. As soon as the paper is in the machine open the topcover.
Remove the cartridge and take out the paper carefully.
Check if the swath of ink is all over the side or only there where the paper was in the fuserunit.
If it is all over the side, the cartridge is defective. If its is only there where the paper was in the fuserunit you will have to replace the fuserunit.
Good luck,
Gerrit Jan

HP LaserJet 2100 will not stop printing nonsense when I have cancelled and cleared the print memory. It's going through tons of paper and turning it off, along w/the computer, for several minutes does not...

The "nonsense" is your printer trying to interpret the information. Go to and download the correct drivers. Delete all other drivers from the Printers and Faxes/File/Server Properties. Then install your correct print driver

Laserjet 1320 is printing a streak down the left side of the page. I replaced the fuser and toner. What's next?

Checking the paper path for ink deposits might be the solution. I had a similar problem sometime ago, where the fuser got some scratch damage for unknown reasons and i suppose was causing unfused ink to accumulate after the fuser, leaving streaks on paper.

no you cannot print on both sides have to give the prints 2 first the paper will print on 1 side then insert the same paper in the printer and give the remaining printout and it will print on the back side of the same you can do it manually but the automatic printing on both side facility is not in HP Laserjet 3330 printers.

Both these issues could be caused by a dirty media sensor. If this is the issue you may be able to improve things by selecting "plain paper" rather than "Automatic".

You can also try cleaning the sensor. The sensor is on the bottom of a black plastic piece mounted to the side of the carriage. Open the printer lid as if you were going to change the cartridges, then gently move the carriage about an inch to the left. There is a small black part mounted toward the bottom rear of the carriage. The sensor is on the underside of this. You could try cleaning the sensor with a damp Q-tip. Be careful not to get in the service station area where there is waste ink. This can be messy, be especially careful not to get ink on the sensor.

If the sensor was the issue normal printing could take several hundred passes of the carriage, with the paper moving just a bit after each swath. There is another possibility for slow printing, where the printhead pauses for 8-15 seconds at the end of each swath. This may be caused by a cartridge issue. In this case try removing the cartridges and cleaning the contact pads as shown here (for a different printer series, but similar....). If the carriage still pauses for 8-15 seconds after each swath then one of the cartrdgies will need to be replaced.
