Try first copying the file into your Windows desktop, if the file does the same starting from there, that is not the Mac.
That is either a corrupted file , or the source file you are downloading is not the right one.

Download the file again, try several versions or locations, transfer file on computer and try again. I know the file is huge. Here the links to download:

How can i install Xp spk2 into dell latitude e6400

Are you talking about Windows XP Service Pack 2? If so just go to microsoft's site to download and install it.

Service Pack 3 is the latest for Windows XP so you might as well download and install it.

Try the link below.

I tried to install office 2007 on windows 2000 professional with service pack 4. Following error was prompted. "THE SPECIFIED PROGRAM REQUIRES A NEWER VERSION OF WINDOW"

The message is clear: Microsoft Office 2007 cannot refuses to install on Windows 2000 Pro. You need a newer version of Windows (Windows XP or newer) to have MS Office 2007 work properly.
Alternatively you can install Office 97 on Windows 2000 Pro.

I have installed windows vista and when i try to install nero burning software 6 and nero media player message is displayed it is not compatible with this version of windows what should i do

General system requirements
  • Microsoft ® Windows 98/98SE; Windows 2000 (service pack 4 or later); Windows XP; Windows 2003 server
  • Microsoft® Windows XP Professional x64 Edition (All applications beside InCD and Nero ImageDrive work in the x86 emulator that allows 32-bit Windows applications to run)
  • Microsoft® Windows Internet Explorer 4.0 or later
  • LightScribe support is only available for Windows 2000 (Service Pack 4 or later) and Windows XP or Windows MCE 2004 or greater operating systems
Current version is 10. There are a lot of driver differences between XP & Vista. I'd buy the new version. You could try compatibility mode but I suspect it won't work.

Can't reboot dell 4100 dimension desktop

First put the hdd installation cd into the cd drive and try to boot. This should install the hdd driver as well as start formatting the new hdd. After the drive is formatted take out the hdd cd & insert the Windows installation cd into the drive. Boot. Windows should start installing on your new drive. After Windows is installed check the Dell support site for updated drivers for your system. Install drivers as needed. Any other software you had on your old drive will need to be reinstalled to the new drive. Hope this helps & please rate my answer. Thanks.

Installing windows

1. Windows 2000 / XP maximum hard drive size 137 gigabyte limit

This one was fun. To install a hard drive larger than 137 gigabytes on your computer you need the following:

a motherboard, such as the Gigabyte GA-7N400 Pro2 which support the 48 bit hard drive addressing. Only new motherboards can be counted on to support this.

Windows 2000 service pack 3 or later. Windows XP service pack 1 and greater have this support built in. I assume this isn't a problem with Linux at all...
