How to motivate myself to go to college?

I am 20 years old, and have three years to go until I get my nursing degree. I just hate waking up early in the mornings, and I dont feel motivated. Three years is such a long time. Why should I even go to college?

Motivation is a inert feeling which you have to create yourself only. I don't think somebody need motivation for their education as you going to receive desired result of all the hardworks doing now.

Has my son crippled himself by only getting an associate's degree?

He needs to grow up and face facts. Don't finance him, and let him learn. If he wants to be a graphic artists. He needs to follow his dreams, but has to have a formal training or be super talented. As an employer, I look at education as an indicator of drive and perseverance. Not education only. He'd better have an outstanding resume to get a job, or be self employed. My 2 cents worth.

Is college actually worth the time and money?

It depends on what job you want in life. Some jobs require a college degree, and usually (not all the time) they are better pay in the long run. But the long run is around 11 years to make more money than you would have been for working a non degree job for those 15 years and not paying for college. Both ways are not wrong. There are plenty of people who live full and happy lives without going to college, and plenty who do the same with a college degree. If you want to keep working you could also apply as a part time student and just take a couple of classes a semester. The main idea is to do something you are passionate about and that's how you can be successful.
