Question about Books

How do you keep motivated while writing?

I always find myself starting a new novel. I m full of ideas but they always become partial. I can never finish a story. When I watch a good show, or read a good book. I tend to want to go off of that. I get a set of ideas from what I see and I lose trace of what I had previously been writing. It s so hard to keep with one thing when your idea pool is endless. How do you stay with one story? What helps you? What keeps you on the right path? Any helpful opinions would be much obliged. Thanks in advance!

Focus, focus, focus! Jot your ideas down in a notebook for a later time, then concentrate on one thing at a time. Self discipline!

Yes, I care. You may be overthinking, but that's not a bad thing.

How to cure writer's block?

There are many randomized prompt websites online that I sometimes find helpful. you can only really get rid of writer's block if you feel inspired. take time to relax and clear your mind of the things that you're stressing over as this takes away from your motivation and inspiration to continue writing. if you're having trouble with a book just allow yourself to keep writing without thinking to much of it. you can always alter the draft at a later time.
