Question about Nextel i265
How do you Turn Off Airplane mode for the Motrola i265? the manual just says "turn off" and does not include the actual steps.

SOURCE: Airplane Mode..
Here is the link to the user manual; http://www.nextel.com/assets/pdfs/en/support/guides/phones/i265/ug.pdf Check page 119 of the manual (129 of the pdf)says: "Sometimes you may want to have your phone on,but turn off its ability to make and receive calls, such as when you are on an airplane. To set your phone so that it cannot make or receive phone calls, Direct Connect calls, Group Connect calls, Talkgroup Calls; or transfer data: 1 From the main menu, select Settings > Advanced > Airplane Mode. 2 Set this option to On. This icon U appears. Note: Pressing p for more than 5 seconds also turns on Airplane mode. To restore your phone?s ability to do all these things: Set this option to Off." Hope this helps :)

It usually means the phone has incurred liquid damage have the phone check at a service center. There is no real long lasting fix for a liquid damaged phone

The airplane mode can be turned off by switching off the mobile and switching it on again. Ask *********** to switch off her mobile as she would do it normally ( if she does not know how to do that, there should be a power button for every mobile, so holding it pressed will switch it off) and then she can switch it on again. So when the mobile gets switched on, it will ask for options for flight mode or normal mode. The normal mode can be selected now. This is how it happens in my sony ericson mobile. If this does not help, let me know your mobile model number.

Remove the battery and SIM card. Put battery back in and start up. If should say "insert SIM". Then remove the battery and replace SIM. The you will be prompted to "Allow Transmissions". Click Yes and then you're all set. I hope this helps. It worked for me.
