There should be a battery icon on the task bar click it then change the power settings. You can also go to the control panel, then to power options their you can change from Hibernation to never hibernate or what ever you choose.

Hold the power button until it powers on. If that doesn't work, remove all power sources including the BIOS battery (under the keyboard) and hold the power button for thirty seconds, then replace all power sources - it should then power on normally. If it doesn't, take it to a qualified repair professional, it may be a problem with the CPU.

  • Hi, you can go into the "Control Panel" and make changes to the Power Saving Options, or Energy Saving. First from the "Start Menu" in the [Start Search] window, type: power, next scroll to find the "Short-cut' listing for {Power Options}, click on it to go to the next window. You'll be able to adjust the "Power Options," (Sleep, "Awake," or Hiberate, if available). "Let me know how things worked out for you by giving a "helpful rating"
