Yes why not, you can upgrade it to 512 even. But there are few things to check first. 1) Check your board got PCI-E slots or not (I guess this board doesn't have any)
2) Then you should have an AGP (Advance Graphic port) (Where you have attached this Card)
3) Check the AGP speed (2x,4x,8x)
4) Usually the AGP cards (The newer ones) are (4x,8x) compatibility.
Then Your board should have atleast 4x AGP Slot. I remember a software "Sis Sandra Pro" to check the AGP speed.
Afer checking and confirming these things, go to a shop and but a graphic card, (Which falls in the catagory i described above).
Better go for nVidia brand. But let me advise you, You should shift yourself on the PCI-Express PC's. On those PC's you can enjoy some gaming experience.

You can not increase you shared memory, its at max 64Mb for this board.
I checked the Specs of your board, you got an AGP slot not any PCI-E so just goto stp 2 ie; Check the speed of your AGP Slot, through Sis Sandra Pro, or if you got the manual it should be mentioned there.

Most probably it would be 4x. (But confirm it, it it is so then;)
Buy a AGP Graphic card, which should be compatible with 4x-8x slots (It will be printed on the Box).

If you got any more queries, don't hesitate to reply.

    Regards.

You are talking about double the memory and it's impossible, you'll have to buy a new graphics card for that much memory.System configuration doesn't matter...your graphics card won't be able to take it. I would suggest you to sell it to some friend and buy a new one...that'll be easy on your pocket also.

The way you increase your video memory is change your video card. With an integrated graphics chip on a motherboard you can increase the shared memory, improving the graphics performance up to a point. With a dedicated video card the slowdown caused by data transferring between the video card and the main computer RAM would offset any potential gains from having more memory available.

The good news is there are many video cards available that have more than 128Mb of RAM. You can even get them with 1Gb or more. Make sure and get one that matches your motherboard's interface. Most likely that is PCI-E, but check your documentation or the Asrock website to be sure.

Hello there,
Here is *********** boards VGA details.
Integrated Intel GMA X4500 graphics Maximum shared memory of 1GB
Supports RGB with max. resolution 2048 x 1536 (@75Hz)
Supports Microsoft® DirectX® 10
Here are the system requirements of the games you are currently playing with problem.
NFS Most Wanted- It should run with no problems just avoid high detail settings.
Minimum: 32MB or more, ATI 7500 or greater; ATI Radeon Xpress 200; NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/GTS or greater Recomended: NVidia 5900 or ATi 9800 with 256mb of video memory
Prince of Persia Two Thrones
Minimum: 64MB Recomended: better than recommended in NFS Most Wanted
COD Black Ops
Minimum: Shader 3.0, 256MB GeForce 8600GT/ ATI X1950 Pro or better. Recommended Nvidia: GT 240 or higher Recommends Ati: HD 4670 512MB or higher Minimum Memory: 2GB
Some games have hardware validation test if your unit fails to the requirements you cannot install the game. try to download this BurnIn. Select the 32bit Standard edition. install the utility and stress your x4500 graphics. Sir you did not post your Processor and Memory. The x4500 graphics will use 128MB of your ram, If you are using 1GB or 1024MB - 128MB = 896MB. 2GB or 2048MB - 128MB = 1920MB. For Memory system requirements your system failed and the main problem is your video card.
Hopefully this helps.

You will need to install the latest drivers for this card. Go to the Nvidia website and select the relevant options from the drop down menus.

Product Type: GeForce
Product Series: GeForce 5 FX Series
Product: GeForce FX 5500
Operating System: The operating system you are using
Language: English (US)

Then click search

It will then take you to the download page.

If this dowsn't work then make sure you have connected your monitor to the FX 5500 card and not to onboard graphics.

Hi sir i have asus p5 nmx having nvidia geforce 7050/nforce610i integrated graphic .it shows 390 mb total graphic memory in win 7with 1 gb ram .where it shows 780 mb useable ram .here i have chosen 256 mb...

512 for 2gb and 780for 4gb

in intergrated gpu,s the memory is borrowed from the main system memory however the actual intergrated gpu has some of its own memory, but this is normally only small such as 64mb or 128mb however it can borrow memory from the main system memory, something thats known as s.m.a(shared memory architecture)
there are also some dedicated graphic cards that borrow memory from the main system memory, these are known as "turbocache" with nvidia based cards and "hypermemory" with ati radeon based cards, however these cards are very rarely used now as they were not that efficent and in windows vista they score very low performance baseline scores
