Question about Boating
I have a 1990 Mercury Blackmax 150, it is a V6 and has a 4 3/4 in bullet 25in shaft which is frozen. I can't turn it to see what the gear ratio might be, is there another way to determine.?
Count the number of teeth on each gear and divide. Example: If gear (a) has 60 teeth and gear (b) has 20 teeth, then the gear ratio is 3:1. Hope this helps.
