If the unit is totally dead, the main board most likely is blown. You say you checked the "fuse"--is there a fuse on the dishwasher or are you referring to the electrical panel fuse box in your house? Did you recently have a power outage? Usually, within 3-4 weeks after having one, appliances will start failing due to damaged chips on the main control boards. The problem could also be a damaged user interface board. If 120volts is getting to the main board but the unit is dead, I'd highly suspect the board is bad. I've also seen lots of bug infestation damage to boards--classic signs are roach tracks in and around the boards--they're attracted to the warmth and will walk across the live boards, shorting them out.
Blown fuse ! Has a electrical short on a circuit that fuse powers ! Do you know anything about automotive electrical systems an testing , using factory wiring diagrams an special tool for diagnosing shorts ? Your best bet mite be to take it to an automotive electrical repair shop.
Anyone got an answer to this, as I have exactly the same fault.
Dishwasher appears to switch on OK, then after a short time (20 secs?) the pump noise stops and the green light flashes - it seems to e a sequence of 7 flashes, then stop... 7 flashed then stop.
The sequence could indicate a fault detected?
Anyone know anything about these units from IKEA, made by Whirlpool?
Sounds like you need to check for power to the unit. Access is at bottom of dishwasher under panel. Next you will see the wiring coming into an enclosed electrical box. you will need to get to wires and check voltage on black hot wire to neutral with a voltage meter. If you have power but still doesn't work then at least you know the problem is with the unit and not the incoming power.
Your problem is: GE Nautilus Dishwasher suddenly stopped working. NOTHING!! it was fine one day then went kaput the next. I checked the plug in and the circuit breaker but still NOTHING
I run into this often. Ends up being loose, broken or burnt ellectrical connection in d/w junction box most of the time. It's under the d/w behind the kick plate on the right or center. Turn the power off first and remove the wire nuts. Replace wire nuts and/or repair wire ends as nessessary. Beyond that you're looking at a bad control board or failed connection in the unit.
