Question about Financial aid

Open Question

Why am I considered a "dependent student"?

I am enrolled into Drexel University. I am a very successful young kid, fortunately. I am in school to get my business and finance degree. The thing is, I am paying my tuition myself out of my own pocket. I am not applying for financial aid or student loans. My parents are actually poor. I am INDEPENDENT. I am a 19 year old female. Why am I considered "dependent"? I'm not. What's wrong with these people?

It depends on your skill set really, but if you are good at a certain subject in school, you can try tutoring. You can also blog, create websites, or even write articles about things you enjoy. Look at freelance writing or google "selling photos online"
