Officer Wrote Ticket to the registration not the Driver?

Me and My friend was traveling in my car and he was speeding, We got pulled over by a Pennsylvania state police office and he said he would receive a ticket in the mail, After 2 weeks the ticket comes in my name it was for "Driving at Safe Speed" My question is I was a passenger in the vehicle my friend gave the officer his license and my registration but the ticket came in my name when I wasn t the driver. I chose to take it to court and today is our court hearing but I don t know how to go about it.

What law? There are many laws and it depends on the situation. For example a speed limit is a law, yet to catch a speeder the police have to exceed the speed limit in order to catch a speeder.
