Uh-huh... Toyota model 2466

Hello Angela Bennett,

While true ... this darling little site has become GLOBAL
(catching some of US low voltage folks a wee bit off guard).

An old sewing machine motor... (just guessing)
is going to need about 3 amps at 240 volts

I actually was able to find your machine was quite popular
but could find nothing about 240v cords...

Perhaps a local web search might work for you

There is indeed a site that might have a quick answer

Call a local repair shop and ask them . here in the US we normally only see 115 volt and the plugs do not have fuses in them

Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Is a sewing machine vintage at 20 years or at 40 years old

That is probably a personal definition. To me, a vintage machine would be one that is more mechanical than computerized. .Some (below) seem to think it would be a heavy metal mechanical machine. But, to throw a monkey wrench into the discussion, what differentiates vintage from antique?

Hi Can I sew plastic on 25 y.o. janome machine.

Plastic is easy to work on. Any needle will work, I'd go with a sharp not ball point. The stitch length should be a bit longer so you won't have the perforated effect and cut through the plastic. A thin size thread will cut the plastic vs a thicker one. Always try a sample first so you can adjust the tension specially if you can adjust it from the bobbin. GL

Availability of needles

Practically every machine made in the last 50 years uses a 15x1 needle also known as 130/705 universal fit.
