Get a leafmaster. It works with a regular waterhose, and does not require a battery.

Not sucking in water?

Make sure that you are getting proper water flow through the pool cleaners suction system. Check the lint baskets, leaf canister, and filter system for blockages. Check the throat of the cleaner and make sure that there are no obstructions. If the shoes or wings are worn, you should replace those also.

The machine we have has good suction but will not at all move.Tried moving the feet but won't go.Need help on this one

Hayward Navigator has many moving parts that when disturbed can cause movement to slow, be sporadic, or even stop all together. Very often the problem is just a leaf, rock, or other debris causing the impeller not to spin. You can remove the access cover (the small square access plate on the bottom) with one screw and see inside the cleaner much better. other possibilities can be the turbine bearings, a-frame bearings, worn turbine cam, etc. If you don't find a simple solution, bring the cleaner to local pool shop. If they are a reputable company they will Inspect the cleaner for free and replace any parts you buy for free as well. Good Luck!

Check your pool cleaners hose to make sure that it is not becoming tangled. Storing the hose in a coiled position will cause this. If it is not moving and it is not the hose, you could have a leak in a connection somewhere. If the cleaner is getting adequate suction, it should be moving. Try adjust the hose weights to make sure the cleaner is at a 45 degree angle to the pools floor.

unscrew the lock ring and pull, the lid should come off with the lock ring. If not, line up the notches in the ring with the slots on the lid and pull. You should then be able to access the basket to clean it.

Zodiac Barracuda stops moving

Depending how you hook it up to the pool you need to be sure it is getting enough suction. If this is a dedicated line be sure that the valve is going all to the cleaner and back off till the pump quiets down. If you have it running through the skimmer be sure the dirveter valve is set to the proper suction and if you have a skimmer plate be sure your main drain is plugged off. Also check in the cleaner again. Things can hide in the diaprahm so be sure to use something that will let you go all the way beyond it or take apart to check if you have to. Good luck.

Hello,I just hooked my Baracuda G3 up today.I feel like I followed directions and it does travel around the pool. However it follows the same track each time in a somewhat figure 8 pattern and only cleans...

Try changing the angle of your return jets in the pool they will have a tendency to set a current running in the pool. This was always what you wanted before to get the water to run past the skimmer but now it will give the cleaner a hard time getting around the pool. If you don't have directionals on you returns Baracuda makes an aftermarket dirvirter to fit most returns.

The zodiac G4 pool cleaner has slowed down considerably and now gets stuck on the drain so i have to continually drag it off so it will circle the rest of the pool

Your Zodiac should ballence all suction with the skimmer and no suction should go through the main drain. A main drain is better called a deep suction to collect heavy dird and your cleaner is a roveing suction and replaces the drain. If both are on the two suctions pulling against each other will always stop the cleaner.

There are a couple of things that will cause Kreepy to not move. Basic things to look at to resolve this issue:
1. Check the Footpad, the very bottom part of the cleaner, there should be raised sections on the clear rubber ring. There should be texturing on those sections, should feel like a soft sandpaper. If the sections are smooth, that needs to be replaced.

2. Is the Seal flat on the pool surface? If not, you may need to move the first weight about 8 to 10 inches from the Swivel Head.

3. Does the cleaner stop moving in the same area? When your system is running, can you see the water "rippling across" the top of the water from the return lines? If so, the issue may be your return lines. The cleaner follows the hose, so where the hose floats the cleaner will follow. If the return lines are not allowing the hose to move, then the cleaner will stop moving. Pentair recommends that your return lines should be angled downward at a 4 to 7 o'clock angle, all going in the same direction. This will take a day, or so, to re-direct the flow of water in the pool. However, by moving the flow of water from the top, or toward the center of pool, to a downward circular movement will allow the hose to float freely around the pool.
