Question about Whirlpool Washing Machines
Whirlpool Duet Washer WFW94HEXW2 I've managed to run the diagnostic test that starts at C00 and goes through each stage thru to C08. Everything runs fine. I've even killed the power to the washer via the circuit breaker to see if it would reset the control panel lights but still nada. When I was able to get error codes to appear, F05 flashes then E02 flashes. When I looked these up, they indicate an issue with attempting to lock the door 6 times without success thus the errors. I checked the door latch and it was loose, so I tightened it. The washer has been working fine until yesterday. Our washer has been unbalanced for awhile so we decided to adjust the feet. In trying to lift it up, the panel was pressed a few times by accident in addition to opening the door to get something to hold on to.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

What you describe still sounds like a door switch problem but if you can run it through the diagnostic cycle then it should be ok.
The only thing different in starting diagnostics and starting normal cycle is you don't press the start button in diagnostics.
If you know how to put it into manual diagnostics you can check all the buttons to make sure they are working properly.
It is unusual to have 2 different problems at the same time and if the switch was broken, it definately would not start the cycle.
Put it into manual diagnostics and check the start button.
Post back and we will go from there.

It appears your timer/main controller/CCU has failed in this instance.
For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...
FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.
PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.
If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.
Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.
If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.
Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question

Tips for a great answer:
Mar 14, 2015 | Kenmore Washing Machines
Press any of the buttons on the control panel to see if the buttons are operational or check to see if the "Control Locked" indicator light is lit. If the control panel is operational, you may mistakenly lock the door.
Press and hold the "End of Cycle Signal" button for approximately three seconds until the "Control Locked" indicator light shuts off. The control panel is now unlocked, and the washer is ready for use.
Lock the washer again by pressing and holding the "End of Cycle Signal" button until the "Control Locked" indicator light turns on.
