Question about Epson Aculaser C1100 Printer
As a studying mechanical engineer, I thougt I would be able to solve our companies printer problems. But I just took out the blue cartridge to check if it was correctly installed. Now I am trying to put it back but I cannot lock it. Is there a mechanism that needs to be resetted when you want to lock a previously unlocked cartridge? Or should I just push it very hard (I am actually afraid it will break)?
Thanks for your help.
Make sure you are trying to insert it with the carousel in the correct position. Use the printers driver to rotate the carousel to the correct position. Slide the cart in level and push it well home.
If it will not lock properly, bin the cart and replace it. If you put a cart in that does not seat right you run the risk of spreading toner all over the inside of the machine and the clean up is a bigger job than buying a new cart.
Ensure the carousel is in the right position - the tram lines the cart slides down MUST line up perfectly.
