We have the sound at 100 and it still is low. Sounds like the speakers are in the back. How do I get the TV louder?

Check whether the audio is muted in full, or half muted. Enter its sound menu, and check it. If muted, as you know there will be no audio output. If not muted, check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience.

Usually, mute is turned on and off at the remote. Press once to mute, press again to turn sound back on.

No sound on tv but volume is up

If you have an older style television and you have cable-then you have 2 remotes-somehow,the tv part went on mute but when you check your sound with the cable remote-it shows high level of bars which makes for confusion!Get out the old tv remote &select your menu then sound &take it off mute----You'll probably see see--sound off! Turn sound on and adjust your sound bars with same tv remote till just a bit more than 1/2 way up.That way you will not have to use cable remote to make it louder-much.In case, you forgot where you put your tv remote& only have cable one--think you can still get it off mute--byshutting down the cable part(which you have probably done several Xs by accident)---and then with cable light not coming on-right- only the tv light =try & adjust with cable remote by pressing mute button-should see MUTE go off! Then bring your cable button back into play and should be all set to go.If that does'nt work and your tv is still a tube tv might need a new part. But hope it was the simple problem.& that I managed to help you.Bye.

I have suddenly lost the sound on my windows media player I may have touched something I dont know it has been OK all this time, it plays but there is no sound please help

It appears that accidently you have clicked on the speaker icon in windows media player which has muted the sound. Please click again on the speaker icon. The sound will come back again. If it does not then check the volume settings on the task bar. This ma have been muted. Click on it and see the volume settings. The slider should not be absolutely down. Slide it up. The sound will come back again.

Integrated Realtek audio card is not working

Have you an icon in the task bar for sound effects?
If so open and make sure that the volume control panels are not marked to mute (uncheck the mute box on all panels)
I know it sounds simple but I have been caught out by this before, some programs override the realtek controls.
I hope this helps
